Why do people move countries?

- Who is an asylum seeker or refugee?

- Who are some famous refugees?

- Why might people leave their homeland to seek refuge/asylum?

-What challenges might people face as they migrate to a new country to live or to work?

- What effect has the movement of people around our planet had on interactions?

-What challenges might people/governments face as members of a global community?

-How have people responded to discrimination and loss of/protection of cultural identity?

-How might people retain their cultural identities when settling in a new country (festivals etc)

- Where do migrants get support or help?

- What are human rights?  How did they come about?

- What do we know about immigration, immigration detention, belonging, advocacy, myths, conventions, statistics and trends?
