Children's Rights and World Vision

Today we had a visit from Harley from World Vision, who talked to us about the rights of all children in the world. For our children these are often being fulfilled but it made our children aware that there are many places in the world where children don't have the same rights.

All children need to be included.
All childen have the right to have nutritional food.
All children have the right to be listened to.
Below the largest refugee camp which houses 80,000 refugees.

All children have the right to be safe.

Navigators 11,12,13 Trip to the Art gallery

Our visit to the Art Gallery today was a real art appreciation of New Zealand artists. We looked at works by famous artists such as Rita Angus and Goldie. There were a variety of art forms on display and the ones we looked at were paintings, mixed media, technology and 3D.  Parents, your children were fantastic. They were attentive and responsive to the questions asked and gave thoughtful answers. They also learnt that you can never give a wrong answer when it comes to art works!

These 4 are all the same display showing how technology can be used to produce art.
